Themed Weddings – The trends (part 1)

August 8th, 2010

What is your theme?

A new trend for a fun and unique weddings is to choose a theme for your wedding. If you decide to have a themed wedding, you should first look at both your personalities and interest. Discuss what you are both passionate about. I personally love themed weddings, because you can see that a lot of thought and time was put into all the detail, to make everything extra special. With this article I am going to be focusing on different themes each week, and because we live by the sea ourselves, I am going to kick off with a Beach Themed wedding.

We have noticed lately that a lot of couples living inland choose to travel down to the coast to have their wedding at the beach. If you choose a beach wedding, have fun with bringing the beach into all aspects of your wedding day.

The NEW BIG WHITE WEDDING – The Dress

July 25th, 2010

Why did we create this website? You might ask. Well, the answer is simple. We LOVE weddings. We love the feelings they stir up, we love the love that we see in the couples eyes on their big day. We love that couples still believe in getting married, even though in these modern times cynics believe that it is old fashioned.

This website was created to help every young bride make her day a little less stressful; to help her get tips on what to wear, what’s the newest trends and where to find the best service providers.

The new BIG WHITE WEDDING:

In today’s day and age you don’t have to follow all the old traditions like your mom and your grandmother had too. You can put your own fresh touch to your own wedding.

Starting today, each week we will publish an article about how to put your own personal stamp on your wedding day.  This week we focus on the wedding dress…

The Wedding Dress:

Your wedding dress does not have to be white anymore or big for that matter. These days, the simpler they are, the more elegant you may look. Think slim-fitting gowns, simple styles and less lace and trains.

January 8th, 2010

By Marius Janse van Rensburg

Bride at beautyifull venueWedding Photographers are honored to be invited into the bride (and sometime the groom’s) dressing place to capture the wealth of emotions and moments surrounding the final hours of ‘singledom’.  As the bride is laced up into her dress by her coterie of bridesmaids and her mother looks on adoringly before the final touches are applied, the photographer has the unique opportunity to capture these intimate moments.

At the groom’s dressing place the boys are being boys and this could add some unique photo-ops.   Some testosterone filled excitement before the wedding is the boys’ way of celebrating the biggest of occasions.  Imagine smoking cigars and drinking beer in a bathtub…

Like many brides and grooms, your wedding could be the first time you’ll be hiring a creative professional. You might think the ins and outs of working with a wedding photographer are as simple as writing a check. What could be so difficult, right? But just ask any talented pro, and you’ll get a grateful explanation of why it’s so important to truly understand their creative process.

How you manage your relationship with a wedding photojournalist can have just as profound an impact on the photographs as the day unfolding before the camera. Luckily, you and your photographer both want the same outcome: amazing photos that capture the feeling of the wedding day.
